Beer Tasting and Brewery Touring*

“While we sit and drink our beer Jesus brings the kingdom near.” – Martin Luther

Do you like beer? Would you like to explore the age old connections between the Lutheran faith and beer? Join us for beer tasting and brewery tours at 4 Des Moines area breweries this January and February. Try new brews, learn what goes into making certain styles and tastes, support local brew masters, and get to know more of the people you worship with on a Sunday morning. Come to one or all. We will meet at the breweries on 4 consecutive Saturdays from 4:00 to 5:30. Dates are listed below. Although this is by no means required, please sign up here or after church on Sunday. Contact Noah Niermann at 515-243-7691 with questions.

  • January 17th: Confluence Brewery
  • January 24th: Madhouse Brewery
  • January 31st: Firetrucker Brewery
  • February 7th: 515 Brewery

*This is a 21 plus program unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
