As a member congregation, St. John’s supports both DMARC’s general programming as well as the  DMARC Emergency Food Pantry which supplies several neighborhood emergency food distribution sites throughout the community.

Grocery carts are provided in the narthex to receive contributions of non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products for the pantry.  (Shopping lists can be found on the cart handles!)  And financial contributions marked for the food pantry are always welcome.  DMARC receives up to six times more food per $1 than the average shopper because of their ability to access the Iowa Food Bank and grocery wholesalers.
