Midweek Music Series Begins Wednesday, October 4

The 2017-18 Midweek Music Series opens with the Des Moines Tango Ensemble, comprised of musicians Bruce Martin (piano), Robert Espe (violin), Patrick Riley (cello), and Norman Sue (bandoneon). The ensemble, formed in 2007, primarily explores a wide range of music associated with, but not limited to, 20th-century Argentine forms of tango. Please join us each Wednesday, beginning October 4, 2017, at 12:05 pm for performances by world-class vocal and instrumental musicians. A variety of classical, folk, pop, and jazz concerts will be presented throughout the season. A light lunch, priced at $6 each, is available in Weertz Hall, following each 30-minute concert. The full season’s schedule can be found on the Arts page on the St. John’s website.
