Artist of the Month exhibits begin in mid-September, when the Weertz Fellowship Hall and kitchen remodeling project is completed. The Club began about 16 years ago as an informal group of photographers sharing photos once a month. Many of our photographers provide images of church events to the Eagle Call, the St. John’s website, etc. The Group includes people just starting with photography as well as those who have sold photos as art. Cameras used range from camera phones, point and shoots, DSLRs and others. We usually have a theme for our meetings and share photos relating to that theme. Some meetings have a learning component when we may demonstrate a computer photo editor or have a professional photographer share tips on making photos more interesting. If you are interested in joining the Photography Club, simply come to one of our meetings. For more information, contact Darla Stiles (darlastiles@stjohnsdsm).
