Central Iowa Shelter & Services
As a founding congregation of what is now known as Central Iowa Shelter & Services, members and friends of St. John’s continue to support its work by preparing and serving the evening meal at the shelter on the 18th & 19th of every month. Feeding over 200 guests each evening requires contributions of casseroles, salads, bread, milk, dessert, juice, and breakfast rolls for the next morning - all of which should be delivered to the shelter by 5:45pm. Six to eight volunteers are also needed to set out and serve the meal. Questions regarding this opportunity may be directed to Jennifer at richandjenearly (at) gmail.com.
