St. John's Lutheran Church participates in God's mission to bless, save, restore, and reconcile the world through meaningful worship and faithful witness in the city of Des Moines and throughout the world.
The congregational council is made up of members of St. John’s. Each member can serve on the council for two consecutive three year terms. New potential members of the council are identified by the council nominating committee in the Fall and are voted on by St. John’s members in December.
