Established in 1980, The Beacon is a certified recovery residence supporting women rebuilding their lives after experiencing trauma, addiction, and housing instability. The Beacon’s mission is to create a space where women can break this cycle and work toward more fulfilling, productive lives.
We will be supporting The Beacon’s Welcome Her Home initiative by collecting household items. Upon arrival at The Beacon, each resident receives a laundry basket filled with supplies to help her feel immediately cared for and supported, helping turn a new space into a place that truly feels like home. Each basket contains:
• Laundry basket
• Bath towel, hand towel & washcloth
• Shower curtain & hooks
• Toilet brush & plunger
• Toilet bowl cleaner
• Disinfecting wipes
• Sponges
• Paper towels
• Dish soap
• Laundry detergent
• Laundry detergent
• Trash can
• Trash bags
• All-purpose cleaner
If you wish to contribute, you may bring items from the list above to the luncheon or purchase directly from The Beacon’s Amazon Wish List.
We will also be collecting cash donations. To learn more, visit thebeacondm.org
